Esteban Ismael

Esteban Ismael is an instructor with the San Diego College of Continuing Education, where he also serves as the Diversity Coordinator and DEI Committee Chair. He is a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee, the recipient of First Prize in Poetry from Dogwood: A Journal of Poetry & Prose, and named a Second Rounder in the Austin Film Festival’s Teleplay Spec Script competition. His poems have recently appeared in Another Chicago Magazine, Pigeon Pages, Poetry Northwest, Southern Humanities Review, Harvard Review, Puro Chicanx Writers of the 21st Century, and Conduit, among other fine journals.
